SAF Refills the PBC Blood Bank

The Special Action Force headed by PMGEN AMANDO CLIFTON B EMPISO, Director, SAF, donated a total of 193 bags of 450 cubic centimeters (cc) of blood during the simultaneous bloodletting activity at SAF Training Branch (SAFTB), Fort Sto. Domingo, Sta. Rosa City, Laguna and SAFTB Annex, Brgy. Baha, Calatagan, Batangas on June 30, 2020 as part of the 37th SAF Founding Anniversary celebration activities which had been put on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The said activity was realized through the assistance of the Philippine Blood Center (PBC) and the Department of Health (DOH) CALABARZON. The cause aimed to help refill the low stock of blood supply in the blood banks due to the present community quarantine being implemented in the country.

PMGEN EMPISO stated, “This activity is part of our commitment to serve the nation even in the simplest way possible. Through the help of our partners in the health sector, we aim to help our kababayans who will be in need of blood in the future and most especially during this time of pandemic.”

SAF continues to extend its helping hand and commits to serving the public as it embodies one of the PNP’s core values, “Makatao”.
