Chief, PNP Opens the SAF Commando Course Training

On July 18, 2018, Chief, PNP PDG OSCAR D ALBAYALDE graced the opening ceremony of the four classes of SAF Commando Course (SAFCC) as the Guest of Honor and Speaker at the SAF Training Branch, Fort Sto. Domingo, Sta. Rosa City, Laguna. The event was witnessed by the men and women of the Special Action Force headed by PDIR NOLI G TALIŇO, Director, SAF 

who formally declared the opening of the said training. The trainees who are composed of newly appointed commissioned and non-commissioned officers of SAF will undergo the eight (8) months of rigid physical and mental training that will test their stamina, speed, aptitude and emotional stability in order to prepare them for the greater task ahead in the fields of counterinsurgency, counterterrorism and anti-criminality.


In his message, PDG ALBAYALDE who himself is a former SAF trooper said that the SAF Commando Course training will not only develop their combat skills but would also instill  them the right virtues of discipline, righteousness and respect for others. He also encouraged and boosted the morale of the students and issued his challenge for them to surpass every task and make it through towards becoming a full-fledged SAF trooper and earn the right to don the most coveted black beret.


 After the program, the trainees faced their first ordeal through the traditional Reception Rites that marked the official start of their arduous training. The activity concluded with a traditional boodle fight with the Chief PNP, SAF Command Group, members of the training staff, other SAF personnel and the Commando students.
