-SAF receives the Gold Eagle Award for the PNP’s PGS Proficiency Evaluation Process -

The Special Action Force (SAF) was presented with the Gold Eagle Award for its outstanding effort in the Performance Governance System (PGS) Proficiency Evaluation Process.  SAF received the award during the Conferment Ceremony of the 2nd Batch of PGS Proficiency PNP Offices and Units at Camp Crame, Quezon City.  SAF completed the three stages of the Proficiency Evaluation Process (PEP) starting with the Self-Assessment Survey (SAS) with 2,720 actual respondents from March 22 to April 22, 2016; Focus Group Discussion (FGD) and Interview on September 15, 2016; PEP Audit from November 15-18, 2016 and the Revalida on February 1, 2017.   The award was conferred to this Unit by PDG RONALD M DELA ROSA, Chief, PNP assisted by PROF. JOSE S NAVARRO, NAGTPD member, COM. ROGELIO T CASURAO, VCEO, NAPOLCOM, members of the Command Group and PCSUPT NOEL A BARACEROS, Director, CPSM. The said award was received by PDIR BENJAMIN M LUSAD, Director, SAF, witnessed by other PNP Key Officers, SAF Key Officers and Unit Commanders, SAF Advisory Council, SAF TWG on PGS and members of the SMO.

The activity coincided with the Monday Flag Raising Ceremony and Awarding of the PNP P.A.T.R.O.L.E.RS Triathlon Team.  Other units that were conferred were the Directorate for Integrated Police Operations-Eastern Mindanao (DIPO EM), Civil Security Group (CSG), Women and Children Protection Center (WCPD), Headquarters Support Service (HSS), Chaplain Service (CS), Intelligence Group (IG), Health Service Unit (HS) and the Police security and Protection Group (PSPG).  Among the nine PNP Units conferred, only SAF received the Gold Eagle Award garnering a total average of 97.14%. The award is a milestone achievement for SAF as it previously got the Silver Eagle Award during its Initiation and Compliance Stages.
