Said event was highlighted with the recognition of achievements of selected line units, personnel and stakeholders of SAF. The said program was followed by the 1st Special Action Force Alumni Association Incorporated (SAFAAI) Grand Alumni Homecoming, General Assembly and SAF Fellowship attended by SAF troopers, both active and retired at Headquarters SAF.
The celebration kicked off with the Bloodletting Activities on May 1 and 3, 2019 at FSB Covered Court, Camp Bagong Diwa, Bicutan, Taguig City and SAFTB Annex, Brgy. Baha, Calatagan, Batangas in partnership with the Philippine Blood Center (PBC) with a total of 454 blood donors from SAF. Another highlight was the SAF Challenge from May 2-5, 2019 in Calatagan, Batangas participated in by 21 competing teams from SAF line units, other PNP units, AFP Special Operations Forces (SOF) counterparts and first time competitors from the Bureau of Corrections (BuCor).
The celebration will continue with a Community Outreach Activity to be held on May 18, 2019 with the support of stakeholders to the Indigenous Community (Aeta) of Lupang Pangako, Brgy. San Agustin, Iba, Zambales. Said activity includes Feeding activity and distribution of school supplies and other gifts. The SAF Director’s Time: Strategic Decision-Making Seminar will be conducted which aims to develop the strategic and operational level of decision-making of the officers of SAF on May 22, 2019 at Serendra Function Hall, Bonifacio Global City with Mr. Ho Sun Yee as the Resource Speaker.
The month-long celebration was culminated with the third SAF Capability and Skills Exhibit and Concert for a Cause held on May 25, 2019 at Bonifacio Global City. The activity aimed to showcase the unit’s capabilities, accomplishments and milestones with the support of different stakeholders.
SAF, for its 36 years of existence has given extraordinary and gallant service for God, country and people guided by their motto, “By Skills and Virtue, We Triumph.”
